As Always, Capo Supports Apple's Latest Products

• Chris Liscio

It's been a hectic month, but I'm pleased to say that Capo will work great with the iPhone Duo and the new MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR display. I'm also pleased to say that my tendency to stick with Apple's guidance for developers has made the work relatively painless.

The Folding iPhone

Initial support for the iPhone Duo shipped with the Capo 4.7.2 update on iOS. There's nothing major to report about this: it just works how you'd expect it to. No matter how you "pose" the iPhone Duo, Capo's interface will make sense, and works how it should. Despite not having a device of my own, I was fortunate to spend a bit of time using Capo on an iPhone Duo in real life, and I was pleased with how well it worked.

The Touch-capable MacBook Pro

The Capo 4.7.3 update on macOS introduced support for touch input using the MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR display. My changes to Capo weren't about adding support. Rather, I had to fix weird little bugs that would have made life miserable for Capo users. Again, if I did my job, then things should just work how you'd expect.

Please, Get In…Touch?

I won't have my own iPhone Duo or MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR display to live with. So if you're using Capo on this hardware, please don't be shy about contacting support if you hit any snags.
