FuzzMeasure In The Media

• Chris Liscio

Apple has posted an article on their science site that profiles the 2006 Apple Design Award Winners in the Scientific Computing Solution category. Since I'm included in that exclusive group, a whole page of the article is all about me and my work on FuzzMeasure. You can check out the full article, or just jump to the part that covers FuzzMeasure.

FuzzMeasure also made a less-prominent, but highly influential appearance in the November 2006 issue of Stereophile magazine. Editor John Atkinson, who is responsible for all the measurements of speakers that get reviewed, wrote a little blurb in his measurement sidebar for a pair of $30k Canton loudspeakers.

“[...]I used a ‘chirp’ method implemented in Christopher Liscio's new FuzzMeasure 2.0 program [...] running on my Mac PowerBook, which is a very much faster means of capturing an in-room response ‘on location’”

You may also recognize John Atkinson as the man who wrote the book on modern loudspeaker measurements. It's great to know he's using FuzzMeasure actively.
