Web Hackery, Upgrading piggy, 1.3 Sneak Peak

• Chris Liscio

I spent a lot of my time lately working on getting the website up to snuff for the 1.3 release. At the same time, I caught some small issues that popped up while more and more people got more time to play with 1.3.

I feel confident that 1.3 has nothing left to add, but I can see some nasties creeping up once the mass consumption begins. Expect to see a 1.3.1 in a few weeks. :)

Furthermore, I have spent time preparing to add some new drives to piggy next week. I will upgrade to a RAID configuration so that I can ensure my data remains safe, or at least much safer than the current configuration. All my source, databases, email, website, etc live on piggy, and as time goes by that data gets more and more valuable.

Some of you out there got sneak peaks at the final 1.3 binary, and some of you don't have it yet. If you want access to the final version of 1.3, just knock the b2 part off the URL you saw here two posts ago, and you can get the sneak peak yourself. If you buy a copy this weekend, you can avoid the $40 price jump that will take place on Monday. Remember — FuzzMeasure costs $125 starting August 1. Don't say I didn't warn you. :)
