Extreme Makeover: iBook Edition

</p> <p> Yesterday I received my RAM and HDD for gonzo. Installing the two items did not take very long at all (around an hour). If I did it again, I could probably complete the upgrade in about a half an hour. </p> <p> Now, gonzo runs snappier, and the Xbench disk test now reports a 30% faster score. Load times have reduced, and things generally feel a bit quicker. </p> <p> Other non-speed benefits include the fact that this drive runs much cooler than the stock drive, and it operates more quietly as well. </p>
