Happy Tiger Day!

• Chris Liscio

sigh. I have nothing exciting to report on Tiger day. I don't have Tiger on order, nor have I had access to any developer seeds. I'm not going to any Tiger parties, and I'm not doing any special Tiger rituals.

I hear that FuzzMeasure runs on Tiger just fine, which is great. Unfortunately, I can't say for sure whether FuzzMeasure will run any faster or better on Tiger. After reading the lengthy article over at Ars yesterday, I'm pretty sure FuzzMeasure will get a nice shot of adrenaline, since Quartz was supposedly sped up quite a bit.

So, to clear up the question on everyone's mind, I will be grabbing Tiger once I get out of the red and into the black with FuzzMeasure's sales. I spent the last of my sales (and then some) on my snazzy new audio device, so that I could correctly implement arbitrary channel selection for record/playback, and properly support multi-channel devices. Also, had I purchased Tiger today, I would probably not spend my time wisely on FuzzMeasure development this weekend (it's all product development at this point – the code is pretty much done).

So, while all of you are playing with Spotlight and Dashboard, graphing complex equations like madmen, and watching all sorts of high-def video in QT7, I will be writing documentation, cleaning up my webpage, and trying to ensure that PayPal is good to go while eSellerate is properly shut down.

Can you tell from my tone that I'm reaching the breaking point trying to get FuzzMeasure 1.2 out the door? ;)
