No Hope

I am highly unimpressed with the M-Audio Transit USB, even after installing the new driver. I would expect something like a PCI card to take an entire system down, but M-Audio has reached new heights by providing a Windows-like experience on my Mac with a handy little USB device. Thanks M-Audio! :P </p> <p> I presume my usage pattern must be too weird for these guys. I use the device, and unplug it when I'm done. A few days later, I plug it in again (because it is needed), and the system locks up (mouse moves, but nothing is responsive and the caps lock won't work). Unplugging it again (to hopefully save the machine) causes the mouse to disappear and the system remains dead. </p> <p> Needless to say, I do not recommend this hardware for anyone running a Mac. When it works, it works well. Unfortunately, it rarely works. </p>
